The 36^th annual Grandma’s Marathon will be held on June 16, 2012. Starting in Two Harbors, MN this gorgeous route follows Old Highway 61 and stretches 26.2 miles to Canal Park in Duluth.

Participants can enjoy a mass amount of fans lining the way with water and cheering support. The race however, is limited to 10,000 people and is on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration for Grandma’s Marathon runs though May 31, 2012 and can be done online. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of this beautiful run along Lake Superior.

Every year, this effort takes hundreds of volunteers, thousands of strings of lights, and it results in a steady stream of happy spectators who wander through the annual light show now at Duluth’s Bayfront Park.

Experience the magic of the Christmas season with nearly 3 million lights. This holiday light show comes to life every evening throughout the holiday season. The light show is accompanied by music and a giant tree.
